On that day I only had time to stop by for a few minutes and get a look at the works in progress.
The next time I got to Essex Modern City, the place was locked up. I managed to stick my camera through the front gate and take the long shot of the finished wall. Because of the angle, I wasn’t able to get a view of Paul’s mural on the far right.

Fredericksburg Brewing Company on Main Street in historic downtown Fredericksburg, Texas. – photo by Joe AlexanderI made a drive through part of the Texas Hill Country up to Fredericksburg for lunch on Tuesday.
I stopped in at the Fredericksburg Brewing Company, the oldest operating brew pub in Texas.
You know you’re in Fredericksburg when the restaurant not only makes its own beer, but also made from scratch peach cobbler.
“Hier Wird mit Liebe Gekocht” means “cooking with love here”.
You can see where the beer comes from as you drink and dine at Fredericksburg Brewing Company.Fredericksburg is known for its peaches – so you can count on the peach cobbler at Fredericksburg Brewing Company.

There is a new tribute to the Queen of Tejano Music on the western edge of downtown San Antonio. The mural is the work of Roland Alvarez – also known as Optek_Art.
This is at the corner of West Houston and North Leona about two blocks north of UTSA Downtown and a block east of Frio Street.

The KLRN building is right on the corner. There is a parking lot in front of the mural that I believe used to be the home of one of the city’s horse-drawn carriage companies.

Studebaker mural by Los Otros Murals on Broadway Street in downtown San Antonio.These murals on Broadway Street harken back to the days when Studebaker cars were built in this country from the early 1900s to the 1960s.
They are located just north of the Alamo Plaza area by where Broadway hits 3rd Street.
The first two images are where the murals are on the outside of building. The last few images show murals behind glass – where you can see lots of reflections, including me taking the pictures.
